Short Bio

Arsenije Krstić is a Belgrade-born pianist, composer and producer, based in Vienna.

After winning numerous prestigious awards at international classical music competitions at an early age, particularly for his interpretations of Baroque repertoire, and completing his classical piano education at the music conservatory in Maribor, Slovenia, under the guidance of Prof. Planinka Atić, he later decided to pursue jazz studies. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in jazz piano at MUK (Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien) under the mentorship of Prof. Oliver Kent.

After a period of focusing on traditional jazz and establishing himself on the Viennese jazz scene, his interests gradually expanded towards different musical cultures and traditions. These include the fusion of jazz and flamenco with Sentido Project, alongside dancer Urška Centa; the combination of Slavic musical traditions and Puerto Rican music with Slavorican, led by saxophonist Jan Kus; and the exploration of the poetic and lyrical music with Patetico, to name just a few.

During this time, he has performed as a sideman or band member with numerous groups, orchestras, big bands and projects across a wide range of musical genres, appearing on stages throughout Europe, Africa, South America, and the USA.

Drawing inspiration from the musical traditions of the Balkans and beyond, he has developed a personal language shaped by a strong rhythmic identity, harmonic curiosity and a distinctive touch at the piano. His debut album Dunja, released in 2026 on the label PKmusik, marks his first full statement as a composer and bandleader.
